We were invited to an interactive chat with the representatives for Universal Studios, Tom Felton, and many more; a live webcast has been created. We will be updating this post repeatedly throughout the hour with new information, so do stay tuned! At the start of the video, we see Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, and Emma Watson on the set of Harry Potter at Leavesden studios talking about how excited they are to be involved with the project. Screencaps from their interviews can be seen here, thanks to SnitchSeeker. The following is a summary of the tour of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter from the creators of the theme park.
Also, Tom Felton has joined the crew! He was really excited about being given the opportunity to be the one to tell the world that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be opening Spring 2010. He also said that the rest of the cast was very jealous that he had gotten to come to Orlando and give away the information. And what he's most looking forward to is walking through the actual wizarding world, without 'scaffolding' behind the actual setsand instead being greeted with something real - ie: being able to go to the Three Broomsticks and ordering an actual real butterbear and getting to drink the real thing. The most anticipated ride is the mysterious Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey inside Hogwarts castle, which Tom and the rest of the cast are most eager to take part in. Tom is also very excited about the filmed scenes for the park. The theme park also took five years to plan! UPDATE: Several new concept art images of various attractions in the park can be seen here. Additionally, there is now a video online of Dan, Rupert and Emma on set discussing the theme park, as well as an interactive map of the park. UPDATE: The Wizarding World's official site has been updated with the full webcast, including a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the park (it will be released with the Half-Blood Prince DVD later this year). It can be viewed here; screencaps can be found in our here, thanks to SS. UPDATE: Universal has also released high-resolution images from the webcast, featuring Tom Felton with the producers of the theme park. They can be seen here, thanks to SS.
